這套“who was……”(當然，活着的人是who is……)童書國內引進出版了15部了，我翻譯了其中的7本。當時就看到了有鮑勃·迪倫的這一本，不知道後續有沒有購買版權----版權經理估計會認爲鮑勃·迪倫不夠大衆，或者不夠兒童吧。

這套書是爲了兒童出版的世界名人傳記橋樑書，文字少，圖畫多，方便孩子自主閱讀。

Who is Bob Dylan?下面這卡片可以瞭解下基本呢信息——

那個時候，我對迪倫那本就很有興趣---上個世紀(聽起來好遙遠)80年代末90年代初我上大學的時候，適逢西方流行音樂大量“引進”，從約翰丹佛到卡朋特到迪倫到貓王，都是我們當時喜歡聽的音樂。

因此也知道一位叫Woody 的人對於迪倫的重要性。有這麼一本繪本就講了迪倫年輕時與伍迪的相遇，從而改變了一生——

"Hey hey, Woody Guthrie, I wrote you a song..."聽鮑勃這樣講，伍迪的臉像太陽照亮了。

這是有關迪倫成長故事的圖畫書，描述他和導師伍迪的故事。

鮑勃·迪倫是一個音樂偶像，美國的傳奇，更簡單地說，一個詩人。

但在他成爲諾貝爾文學獎認可的“文學家”鮑勃·狄倫之前，他是Bob Zimmerman，來自明尼蘇達農村的孩子。

這種抒情和華麗的傳記圖畫書記錄了鮑勃追隨自己從小就喜愛的詩人狄蘭·托馬斯後，以及離開他出生的礦區小鎮到紐約繼續他對音樂的熱愛。在紐約那，他遇到了民謠音樂的大明星，並且是他未來的導師---Woody Guthrie，永遠改變他的命運，直到今天獲得諾貝爾文學獎。

不僅感嘆，老外們爲兒童創作起繪本來，還真是題材廣泛啊。

廣泛到連歌曲都可以做成繪本，比如我們曾經引進出版的丹佛的名作繪本——

我最喜歡的是那首《鄉村路帶我回家》

當然，現在迪倫獲獎了，他的作品看起來更加像文學了，其中適合少年兒童的已經有多部被改編成繪本了。

迪倫的歌中，我比較喜歡的《Blowin' in the Wind》，當看到獲獎消息時，我哼唱了這些歌詞，發現文學水平是挺高的哈

這首歌最打動人的非第一句莫屬：

喜歡這首歌，也喜歡這本根據迪倫歌詞改編的繪本，因爲插圖畫家也是我非常喜歡，叫瓊·穆特(Jon J Muth)，他自己也創作了很多繪本，國內已經引進出版了他的主要作品，包括《石頭湯》《尼古拉的三個問題》《熊貓師父和阿古》《城裏狗，鄉下蛙》等，並以《禪的故事》獲得過凱迪克獎。

我還喜歡迪倫的《rolling stone》和《forever young》，相信不少人跟我一樣，所以後者也被創作成了繪本。

Forever Young

《Forever Young》收於1974年發行的第14張個人專輯《Planet Waves》中，是鮑勃爲時年四歲的兒子雅各布·迪倫(Jakob Dylan)所作。

歌詞中的愛意和鼓勵、對年輕一輩的深切期盼觸動人心，也使其成爲經典並被多次翻唱。我們看看歌詞吧——

我個人覺得最適合兒童的一首“詩”、一本繪本。最早出現在鮑勃·迪倫1979年發行的專輯《Slow Train Coming》。歌曲以猜謎的形式描述了六種動物，但最後一種動物是什麼，鮑勃沒寫出來，你猜是什麼呢?

插畫家吉姆·阿諾斯基(Jim Arnosky)根據歌曲的內容，創作出一本繪本，卻不僅僅是六種動物，有170多個動物呢。

If Dogs Run Free 如果小狗自由地撒歡兒

《If Dogs Run Free》是鮑勃·迪倫在1970年創作的歌曲，那個時候還沒流行說唱，但是這首歌最吸引人的還正是迪倫的“說”，像是在講一個故事。有故事的歌就容易改編成繪本。

這本就比較低幼了。文本就是原歌詞，插畫家用圖畫描繪了小女孩和弟弟的歡樂一天，在遊樂場冒險，他們抓着一簇氣球，路過一個有幾十只狗的巨大公園，飄過在睡蓮上演奏樂器的動物們，飛向更高的天空……

整本書洋溢着無拘無束的想象力和創造力，“做你想做的”，你還記得自由美好、無憂無慮的童年時光嗎?

If Not for You

If Not for You是迪倫爲單飛的披頭士樂隊吉它手喬治·哈里森創作的歌曲，聽着很舒服，一遍過去就能跟着哼唱起來。

一般我們聽這首歌，歌詞中的“babe”會被理解爲那個心愛的人，其實迪倫對自己的兒子非常有愛，經常爲他們寫歌。

經由大衛·沃克(David Walker)的畫筆，if not for you變成了一個溫馨的、濃濃的父愛故事。
